Jake Seid

Jake co-founded Ballistic Ventures to focus on building the next generation of iconic cybersecurity companies.  He led Armadin’s seed round and joined their Board in 2026.  As a highly respected investor and operator, Jake focuses on supporting founders from the earliest stages through scale. Prior to Ballistic Ventures, He was the sole founder of Stone Bridge Ventures, where 12 of his early-stage investments ultimately became unicorn companies.

Before Stone Bridge Ventures, Jake pioneered the online transaction of real estate as president of TenX/Auction.  As president, he built every functional area, and grew the B2B real estate-focused transactional online marketplace to become the industry’s leading platform before the company was acquired for $1.6 billion.  

Jake began his career in venture capital as the youngest member of the team that founded Lightspeed Venture Partners. He spent over a decade at Lightspeed where he was a key Managing Director, helping to drive the firm’s early growth and international expansion. Before that, he helped build the fastest $0 to $1B revenue run rate business in Cisco’s history which led to his early exposure to cybersecurity.

He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, where he was awarded the Karl Taylor Compton Prize—the highest honor given to a student.  In 2009, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
